Harborough to Great Bowden... 

...and back again

Enjoy a leisurely stroll from Harborough to Great Bowden along St Mary's road, Great Bowden road and back into the town via the ancient path through the fields and over Bowden ridge (weather permitting).

Discover the forgotten history of St.Mary's road, the buildings and businesses that have been located here over the centuries.

Learn more about the relationship between Harborough and the much earlier 'mother' settlement of Great Bowden.

Not forgetting Harborough railway station and the intriguing history of St Mary in Arden church. 

Starting Point: Under the Old Grammar School

Duration of Walk: 3 to 3.5 hours

NB: Stout footwear recommended.
